  • Canadian Organic Growers’ Online Organic Seed Course
    • In partnership with USC Canada through The Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security, COG is excited to open registration for Canada’s only intermediate-level Organic Vegetable Seed Production e-learning certificate! This 22-week program runs April 9th – November 2nd, 2018 (with a summer break from July 9th – September 2nd).Designed with flexibility, this certificate program will be delivered in a part-time blended format featuring live, online instruction with two expert instructors and successful organic seed producers, Mary Brittain of The Cottage Gardener and Patrick Steiner of Stellar Seeds
  • e-Organic Seed Production and Plant Breeding Webinars
    • Learn the latest in organic farming practices and research by attending or watching an eOrganic Webinar. Sign up for upcoming webinars to watch slides, listen to the presenter, and type in questions during the live events.   • Organic Seed Production Webinar Series – Organic Seed Alliance
    • A six-webinar series on organic seed production provides training for seed growers and seed production interns. This series, offered by Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) and the Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture (MESA), covers a range of topics, from planting to harvest to the economics of seed production. The series was delivered as part of a seed internship program offered by OSA and MESA with support from the USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program. The recordings are appropriate for farmers, interns, students, and other agricultural professionals. Watch the recordings and find additional resources from these presentations below.

Written by organic seed grower Patrick Steiner, this publication is not so much a “how-to” of seed growing as it is a “what to expect” when embarking on a journey of seed growing.
